Enjoying an Allergen Free Thanksgiving/Holiday Meal

I am working once a week in a store that is completely gluten free and also carries many varieties of food that are free from other allergens.

I have been asked to design a class to help people prepare for the holidays.  If you have any type of food allergy, you KNOW how difficult social eating can be. So to begin with, let's plan a meal:

Here is what I am planning on serving for our Thanksgiving:

Turkey

Rolls/Bread

Cranberry Relish
Mashed Potatoes

Stuffing

Pumpkin Pie

In the next few weeks I plan to post a recipe for each of the above items.  Stay tuned! Simply click on the item and a link will take you to the recipe.

What are you cooking?  What do you need an allergy-free recipe for?

  1. This is the part of going GF/CF that is so terrifying. Eating is such a big thing in our society and in families that I feel like going on a diet no one else is doing is just asking for trouble! Anyway, I think it would be hard to have thanksgiving on this diet unless you know quite a bit about how to serve everything without those ingredients. Starting next week, if I feel better and stop being dizzy for 2 seconds, I am going to figure out some CF alternatives. You are so together. I wish I was more like you!

  2. Remember that I have been doing this awhile! It is like getting any type of education. You learn as you go. CF is a great way to start. Change a couple things and before you know it you will be the PRO!
